General Meeting

Meeting called to order by: Lorrie Judd(Secretary) at 9:03am

New Business
No Fuss Fundraiser – This is up and going on. We had a few problems with online donating. Thanks Ashely Blackman and Tara Roner for helping us work out the problems. So far the kids have won “Bring a stuffed animal to school” which was this past Wednesday. Josie is making announcements everyday just before the end of the school day with our progress. As of this morning, we have raised $665. When we get to “Lunch Outside” we will need help with supervising the kids outside. This will be planned for a Friday and will start at 11:40 to about 1:00pm. We will need volunteers to keep the kids in the picnic area, remind the kids to throw away their trash and a couple to help at the door to monitor bathroom breaks. Recess aides will be out at non and will stay on the playground areas.
Cafe Rio Fundraiser – Our fundraiser brought in $538.19 of which Cafe Rio is donating back $107.64 back to our PTA.
Teacher Appreciation Week(May 6-10) – Josie is working on getting a taco truck to come to the school during the hours of 11:30-1:00pm. She is also working on getting a better price than what was quoted to her($750 for 400 tacos). An uncle of one of the kindergarten students works for Taco El Cunado. Josie is asking Lithia which day for PTA to provide lunch. During the meeting the Uncle happened to be in the office and Josie was able to talk with him and was able to get the price to $700 for 400 tacos which will include: Pico, cabbage, sauce, limes, plates, napkins, plastic ware. Our day will be Thursday May 9th. If the weather is nice, we may put tables & chairs outside during staff lunches. Sign-up went around for dessert donations for this lunch.
Copperview Admin & PTA Board Meeting – A meeting is planned for Thursday April 18th at 2:30pm in the conference room to discuss ideas for PTA for the 2024-2025 school year. In attendance will be: Ashely, Jenna, Colleen & Josie. Tara will strive to attend before school carpool pickup and Lorrie will strive to attend the meeting after preschool is picked up at 3:25pm.
PTA Binder – Josie is working on a binder with all the PTA information. The information will have the President’s, Treasurer’s & Secretary’s responsibilities, Current PTA Members and information, Contacts for Classic Skating, Cafe Zupas, Calendar, Flyers from this year.
PTA Board Members 2024-2025 – Candance Troyer is heading up the nomination committee and needs more members. Candy is working with Colleen to have information put out to parents about PTA.
Field Days – Kindergarten will be Friday, May 24th 9:30 – 11:30am
1st – 5th will be Wednesday, May 29th 9:30 – 11:30am
Josie will be looking for parent volunteers for both days to help out.
