Copperview Pride: “Together we can do hard things!”

Dear Copperview Community,

What a great year we’re enjoying at Copperview Elementary.  It’s hard to believe we only have three more months left of school – which will be full of fabulous opportunities to learn and achieve our goals.

As we continue to use a lens of celebration, we want to share a few of the highlights from this past month.  During the week of Valentine’s Day, we celebrated Random Act of Kindness week.  We were so impressed by all the kind acts our Cougars showed to their school, the staff, and their peers.  We are also very grateful for all your support during our annual Penny Wars fundraiser.  We had a lot of fun and raised money for school field trips! Another celebration is that Copperview has a new and improved website!  Check it out at www.copperview.canyonsdistrict.org

As we continue to focus on building a framework for student success,  we are seeking your feedback in an upcoming survey.  Every other year Canyons School District asks our parents, students and staff to complete a CAYCI survey.  Our goal is to have all families complete it and return it.  Your responses to this survey are very important to us and will help identify things that are going well and where we can work to improve.  Please look for the survey to come home on March 2nd.   When your child returns the parent survey, they will receive a small prize and be entered into a drawing for larger prizes.

Last but not least, Copperview Elementary needs a new PTA President and other PTA officers.  It’s a great opportunity to be involved in your student’s educational experience, and our current President, Josie McClendon, can share all the awesome work that the PTA has been done at Copperview this past year.  The PTA is a vital part of our school community and provides great services to our staff, students and community as a whole.

Principal, Jeri Rigby
