• Digital Citizenship update

  • Does the SCC feel it has received enough information to determine if the filtering systems and supervision practices are appropriate?
    • Colleen Smith to follow up on Content Keeper and whether students were able to access inappropriate behavior at school
      • Action Item: contact Responsive Services
    • SCC feels we have enough information and filtering systems in place
  • Does the SCC feel it has received enough information about the school’s educational efforts to instill in students a desire to be good digital citizens?
    • Yes, no additional information needed
  • Does the SCC believe the school has a viable plan to present important Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship information to parents in the community?
    • Yes, SCC members would like to add the below items to the Digital Citizenship Plan
      • SCC would like to be actively involved in planning Digital Citizenship Week for February – communicating with families in all avenues that work best for parents and families
      • SCC would also like to encourage Copperview parents and families to attend district Digital Citizenship presentations offered twice a year.  
• Update on Halloween Parade
  • District is asking that all schools have outdoor Halloween parades
  • Friday, October 29 at 9:15am – Flyers will be distributed (paper and ParentSquare) with information on where parents and families can convene to view the parade.
