Families and schools must work together to help students achieve high academic standards. Through a process that includes teachers, families, students and community members, the following are agreed upon roles and responsibilities that we as partners will carry out to support student success in school and in life.

Staff Pledge

I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:

  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Teach classes with an engaging and challenging curriculum that promotes student achievement.
  • Set high expectations and help every student be successful in meeting the Common Core State Standards.
  • Communicate frequently with families about student progress.
  • Provide opportunities for parents to volunteer and participate in the classroom.
  • Continue learning to provide the highest quality of teaching and learning.
  • Celebrate the diversity of our students, families, staff, and school.

 Student Pledge

I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability.

  • Come to school on-time daily, ready to learn and work hard.
  • Know and follow school and classroom rules and expectations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and teachers so they can support you in school.
  • Limit TV watching, video game playing, and Internet usage so I can focus on learning.
  • Read at least 20 minutes-a-day, practice math facts and complete homework.
  • Show Cougar Pride by being safe, kind, and responsible.

Family/Parent/Caregiver Pledge

I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:

  • Provide a structured routine and place for your child to complete homework and read.
  • Read with my child or encourage my child to read every day (20 minutes K-5).
  • Ensure that my child is on time to school (8:40am) and attends school every day.
  • Provide a safe and supportive home environment.
  • Regularly communicate with your child’s teacher to be an active participant in your child’s education.
  • Actively participate in your child’s parent-teacher conferences.
  • Communicate the importance of education and learning to my child.
  • Limit TV watching, video games, and Internet usage.
  • Respect the diversity of our school, staff, students, and patrons.
  • Support your child by volunteering and engaging in your student’s education.
