Dear Parent,

April is here! I’m thrilled that the weather is warming up. I like to see the flowers blooming and the grass becoming green. It is very pretty. We have three important events coming up for the month of April. It is definitely a busy time of year.

·       1st I will be sending home a Learning Environmental Form. This is a place where you, as the parent can give the school feedback on what your child needs to be successful at school. This will help us place your child in a class for next year.

·       2nd On Tuesday, April 25th we will have a reading game night. It will be a fun night for the entire family. We will begin at 6:30. We will be serving dessert. Eat dinner before you come.

·       3rd In May, we will be having our Living Traditions Festival on Thursday, May 25th. We will be having the dress rehearsal at 2:00 and the program is at 5:00. It will be outside, so it is weather dependent. We are hoping for good weather. We also have food trucks scheduled to come as well as a cheaper option for dinner beginning at 5:45. The dance program should last 45 minutes.

·       4th This year, we will be having a spring jog-a-thon to help raise money for field trips. Each student will get sponsors to run for 20 minutes. The money collected will be used for field trips in the 2017-2018 school year. There will be incentive prizes for how much money the student raise. This is planned for Friday, May 26th. Each grade will have their own scheduled time.

We hope we are able to see you at these events.

Thank you for everything you do to support Copperview. We truly want to be a Community School where we meet the needs of the students and the community.

Sincerely, Christine L. Webb, Principal
